What if you never felt ready?

What if you never felt ready?

Terrie Power Coaching

A question for you...

Have you noticed how "I just need to think about it a little more" can quietly turn into weeks...or even months?

I laugh because I've said it, too.

Sometimes it sounds like:
"Let me do a little more research."

Or...
"I just need to get organized first."

Or my personal favorite...
"I'll start on Monday."

None of those things are bad.

But every now and then, they're really just another way of saying, "I'm waiting until I feel ready."

Here's what I've learned after years of coaching people through change:

I've never met anyone who felt completely ready to start the thing that mattered most.

Not the person starting a business... not the leader stepping into a new role…not the person making a career change, and definitely not the writer staring at a blank page.

The interesting part? They didn't gain confidence and then take the first step. They took the next step...and confidence started catching up. Momentum has a funny way of working like that.

It rarely shows up because we have a perfect plan.

It shows up because we decide to move.

One conversation.

One application.

One chapter.

One client.

One uncomfortable decision.

One intentional step.

That's why I talk so much about discovering how you're uniquely wired. When you understand yourself, you spend less time trying to force certainty and more time recognizing what your next right step actually is.

You don't have to figure out the whole journey today.

Just don't let the search for the perfect plan keep you from taking the next faithful step.

So here's what I'm wondering...

What's one next step you've been putting off because you've been waiting to feel more ready?

I'd love for you to hit reply and tell me. Sometimes saying it out loud is the first step toward creating lasting momentum.

P.S. I can't believe we're already wrapping up July! We have one more bonus to announce tomorrow, but before we do, I wanted to remind you that a few opportunities end tomorrow.

If you've been thinking about joining the Mastermind, now is a great time. It's a monthly space for entrepreneurs and leaders who work from home to connect, share challenges, celebrate wins, ask questions, and encourage one another. Think of it as having your own trusted board of advisors and a built-in coworking community that helps you keep moving forward. Click here to learn join.

If one-on-one coaching has been on your mind, you can still receive $500–$1,000 off a year-long coaching package—all you need to do is click here to schedule your consultation by midnight July 31st. The consultation itself can happen later.

And one last reminder: our referral program is always available. When someone you refer enrolls in a year-long coaching package, you'll receive a $500 coaching credit as our way of saying thank you.

If any of these have been on your mind, don't wait for the "perfect" time. I'd love to help you take your next intentional step.

The Task Before the Task Terrie Power Coaching … My house is cleaner because I did not want to write this email. There. I said it. Every time I thought about sitting down to write, my brain offered another idea. I can do it later. The house needs attention. It is too hot to think. At one point, I was not even cleaning. I was just staring. The funny part is that I wanted to write the email. But before I could write it, I had to make several decisions about September. That was the task hiding...

Before You Call It Lazy Terrie Power Coaching … I sat down to work on an important project. Then I organized my pens. Not metaphorically. I moved them into different slots, rearranged my office, and made sure everything looked just right. Well, hello, organized pens. Then I looked at the clock. The pens looked fantastic, but I had not touched the project. What I Didn’t Consider This happened years ago during an extremely busy season. My sons were navigating school changes after COVID, my...

Sometimes growth asks us to build differently. Terrie Power Coaching … I've been thinking about something this week. School has been back in session for about four weeks now, and it finally hit me... My life is really different now. For years, August meant getting ready for another school year. It was one of my favorite times of the year. I loved the excitement, the people, the traditions...all of it. This year was different. Instead of getting a classroom ready, I was sitting at my desk...
