Mid-Year Clarity Boost (Zero Pressure!)

Mid-Year Clarity Without the Pressure

We’re just two weeks away from the halfway mark of the year (how??), and I realized something:

One of my big goals for the year was to exercise consistently. And… well… let’s just say I took a little detour.

You know the kind where “consistent” turns into “occasionally,” and then into “I wonder where my gym shoes are”?

But instead of spiraling into shame or pretending I’d start fresh next year, I asked myself three simple questions. And I’d love for you to walk through them with me too:

1. What’s worked so far this year?
Maybe it’s a morning routine, a new mindset, or a habit you actually stuck with.
(For me: remembering that walking counts. Every step.)

2. What’s felt off or needs to go?
What’s draining your energy or no longer fits this season?
(Mine: overcomplicating workouts. If I needed an elaborate plan, I wouldn’t do it.)

3. What still matters?
What goal or value still tugs at your heart?
(Yes, exercise still matters. But now, it looks like 20 minutes, not perfection.)

You don’t need to start over. You just need a moment to check in and choose what’s next.

Let’s call this a Summer Reset – no pressure, just progress

One Thing I Learned ...

I’ve been reading The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins.

I have used the lessons while on vacation. When I saw other drivers being aggressive, or tourists crowding walkways, or people just… being people—I whispered, “Let them.”

It was such a gentle release.
Not everything needs my energy.
Not every moment has to be productive.

Sometimes, the best thing I can do is just let them—and let myself be free from the pressure to fix, change, or control it all.

That’s peace. And that’s part of the summer I want to build.

Terrie

Terrie Power Coaching The Goals You Don’t Set Might Be Holding You Back Several years ago, I realized something about the way I set goals—and I’ve seen others express it as well. I used to only set goals around things I could control. Things like: how many emails I’d send, how many hours I’d work, How many days I’d work out. I avoided setting goals like: “I’ll sign 5 new clients.” “I’ll earn $10K this quarter.” “I’ll lose 10 pounds.” Why? Because those outcomes depend on other people. And I...

Terrie Power Coaching You’re more than who others think you are. To one person, you’re the steady one. To another, the dreamer. To someone else, the fixer… the peacemaker… the bold one. Everyone sees you through their own lens. And over time, it’s easy to forget:You’re allowed to be more than their version of you. We carry stories about ourselves that were handed to us—through family, work, friendships, or past experiences. Some of those stories feel true. Others? They box us in. They keep us...

Terrie Power Coaching What are my goals??? I was sitting there, heart pounding. I knew the answer, but my mind was completely blank. Someone had asked, "So, what goals do you have for this quarter?" Normally, I'm the one asking that question! I remembered coaching a group a couple of years ago. I passionately emphasized the importance of knowing your goals clearly. Many had admitted they couldn't recall theirs. So, I had stressed how critical it was to know your goals. Yet, there I was,...
