Guess What?? There is more to you.

Terrie Power Coaching

You’re more than who others think you are.

To one person, you’re the steady one.
To another, the dreamer.
To someone else, the fixer… the peacemaker… the bold one.

Everyone sees you through their own lens.
And over time, it’s easy to forget:
You’re allowed to be more than their version of you.

We carry stories about ourselves that were handed to us—through family, work, friendships, or past experiences.

Some of those stories feel true. Others?

They box us in.

They keep us stuck.

They make us question our voice, our direction, or our worth.

But here’s the truth:

You get to decide who you are becoming.
You are not a collection of others’ perceptions.
You are a whole, growing person—capable of clarity, purpose, and realignment.

This week, take 10 quiet minutes. Ask yourself:

  • Who am I when no one is watching?
  • What part of me has been dimmed to keep the peace or stay accepted?
  • What truth about myself have I been avoiding—or waiting to fully embrace?

Note to Self: What I'm Learning

This week I was reminded of something that’s both humbling and freeing: People see different versions of me—and that’s okay.

As an Enneagram Nine, people often describe me as easygoing, friendly, and even outgoing. And while that’s true in many settings, it’s not the whole story. There’s also a quieter side of me—one that craves peace, avoids conflict, and sometimes disappears into the background just to keep things calm.

I’ve realized that I don’t always tell the same story about myself, either. Depending on who I’m with or what’s expected, I can shift or adapt without even noticing it. That’s part of what makes Nines so relatable… but it’s also what can make us feel invisible to ourselves.

That’s why the Enneagram has been such a powerful tool in my life. It’s helped me understand why I do what I do—not just how I show up on the surface.

“The Enneagram doesn’t put you in a box. It shows you the box you’re already in—and how to get out.” – Ian Morgan Cron

Knowing I’m a Nine doesn’t limit me. It’s actually helped me reclaim parts of myself I’d lost trying to be “easy” or agreeable for others. It’s helped me find language for what I need, how I work best, and what it looks like to show up fully—without disappearing.

And that’s the story I want to keep writing.

Productivity Hack of the Week:
Create a “True You” Task Filter

If you ever feel pulled in a million directions—trying to meet expectations, keep the peace, or just “go with the flow”—this simple strategy helps you stay centered and productive on your terms.

Before you add something to your to-do list this week, ask yourself:

  1. Is this mine to do?
  2. Does this align with what matters most to me?
  3. Am I doing this because it’s expected… or because it matters?

For Enneagram Nines (and many others), it’s easy to merge with others’ priorities and lose sight of your own. This little check-in helps you reconnect with your purpose before your list gets overrun with other people’s urgencies.

✅ Bonus Tip: Highlight just one task each day that reflects your voice, goals, or needs—no matter how small. This builds confidence and keeps you moving from a place of clarity, not just compliance.

You don’t have to do everything.
You just have to do the right next thing—for you.

Terrie
