A Summer Refresh, Not a Summer Spiral

Let’s Try a Different Summer Approach

Terrie Power Coaching

There’s something about summer that makes us think in extremes.

Either:

This is my chance to finally get my life together.

Or…

I’ll get back on track in August.

Anyone else? 😄

But what if you didn’t have to choose?

What if it’s not about getting it all done or completely checking out?

What if summer is actually one of the best times to refresh?

Why summer feels different

Schedules shift.

Travel pops up.

Kids are home. Or maybe they’re grown, and your rhythm still somehow feels different anyway. (That’s me this year).

There’s often just enough breathing room to notice what’s been off.

And I think that’s why summer can be such a powerful reset point.

Not because life suddenly gets easier.

But because a disrupted routine has a funny way of revealing what’s actually going on.

What’s working.

What’s draining you.

Where you’ve been operating on autopilot.

What needs attention.

Mid-year gives us a natural invitation to pause and recalibrate before rushing into the second half of the year.

That’s worth paying attention to.

Not a dramatic restart. Just a refresh.

I’m not talking about reinventing your whole life by July.

No giant reset.

No impossible summer routine.

No “new me” pressure.

I mean something simpler.

A moment to refresh.

A chance to ask:

  • What’s draining me right now?
  • What feels heavier than it should?
  • What needs simplifying?
  • Where do I want more peace?
  • What moments of joy can I find?

Because sometimes we don’t need a total overhaul. We need someone to help us find the joy and peace we will often move too quickly past.

What I’m creating this summer

I’ve been dreaming up something special for this season.

A lighter, more intentional summer experience for those of us who want progress without pressure.

Less hustle. More alignment. Less guilt.

More intentional momentum.

Think:

☀️ simple reflection prompts
🌿 practical encouragement you can actually use
🔥 gentle accountability that doesn’t feel suffocating
💛 reminders to reconnect with what matters most

Because I don’t believe productivity should feel exhausting.

And I definitely don’t think summer has to become the season where all your momentum disappears.

There’s a middle ground.

That’s what I want to help create.

Want in?

Ready for a summer refresh?

I’m putting together a special Summer Refresh email series designed to help you create more peace, clarity, and intentional momentum without turning summer into another productivity project.

Think simple reflection prompts, practical encouragement, and gentle structure that actually fits real life. You will get 3 emails a week for 6 weeks. Monday - Progress, Wednesday - Peace, Friday - Play.

If that sounds like what you need, I’d love to have you join us.

Before I go...

Hit reply and tell me:

If you could refresh one area of your life this summer, what would it be?

Your schedule?

Your energy?

Your mindset?

Your health?

Your home?

Your goals?

I’d genuinely love to know.

Talk soon,
Terrie

P.S. If your version of summer usually involves losing all structure, eating snacks at weird hours, and promising yourself you’ll “get serious in August”... you are definitely not alone 😄

What if you never felt ready? Terrie Power Coaching … A question for you... Have you noticed how "I just need to think about it a little more" can quietly turn into weeks...or even months? I laugh because I've said it, too. Sometimes it sounds like:"Let me do a little more research." Or..."I just need to get organized first." Or my personal favorite..."I'll start on Monday." None of those things are bad. But every now and then, they're really just another way of saying, "I'm waiting until I...

What If That Isn't True? Terrie Power Coaching … I think our brains have a favorite hobby. They make lists. Not grocery lists or to-do lists. Lists of everything that could go wrong. Why now isn't the right time. Why you're too busy. Why you don't know enough. Why someone else could do it better. The funny thing is...we rarely realize we're only reading one list. Try This Five-Minute Exercise Grab a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. On the left, write down every reason you feel...

A Question Worth Asking Terrie Power Coaching … Hi Reader Have you ever noticed that one conversation can change the direction of your life? Not because someone gave you the answer. Because they asked a question you hadn't considered. I've been thinking about that a lot this month as Terrie Power Coaching celebrates five years. When I look back, I don't remember every strategy I tried. I remember the conversations. The People Behind the Progress I've realized something I didn't expect. The...
