Most of the people I work with believe they’re stuck because they’re not disciplined enough.

Or because they’re doing it wrong.

They’ve tried different planners, routines, habits, resets. They watch what works for other people and assume they should be able to make it work the same way.

So when it doesn’t stick, the conclusion feels obvious.
Something must be wrong with me.

I believed that for a long time too.

Here’s what I’ve seen over and over again.

The issue is rarely discipline.
And it’s almost never effort.

It’s fit.

Most productivity advice is built around one kind of person, one kind of rhythm, one kind of season. It doesn’t account for personality, energy, or how stress changes the way our brain plans, prioritizes, and follows through.

So people keep forcing systems that don’t fit and blaming themselves when they can’t hold it.

That wears you down.

And it keeps you stuck.

When you stop asking “How do I do this right?” and start asking “What actually works for me in this season?” something shifts.

Progress feels steadier.
Decisions get clearer.
And you stop fighting yourself just to move forward.

This idea has been shaping a lot of what I’ve been working on lately.
