A gentler way to do Christmas

Your Unique Way to Do Christmas

Merry Christmas Eve, Reader

If today already feels full, you’re not behind.
Holidays have a way of stirring expectations, emotions, and old patterns all at once.

So instead of trying to “do Christmas right,” here are a few tiny, grace-filled hacks for each Enneagram type.
Nothing to fix. Just something gentle to notice.

Type 1 – Principle Reformers
Let one thing be imperfect today.
Not later. Today.
Peace matters more than precision.

Type 2 – Nurturing Supporters
Before you help someone else, pause and ask:
“What do I need right now?”
Even a small yes to yourself counts.

Type 3 – Admirable Achievers
You don’t need to make this meaningful.
It already is.
Try being fully present without improving the moment.

Type 4 – Introspective Individualists
Notice the beauty that’s already here instead of focusing on what’s missing.
Name one ordinary thing that feels sacred today.

Type 5 – Analytical Investigators
Step into the room even if you’d rather stay on the edges.
Connection doesn’t require the perfect words. Just your presence.

Type 6 – Loyal Guardians
If anxiety shows up, gently remind yourself:
“I am safe right now.”
You don’t have to prepare for everything today.

Type 7 – Enthusiastic Optimists
Stay with one moment instead of rushing to the next.
Joy deepens when you slow down enough to feel it.

Type 8 – Passionate Protectors
Let someone else take the lead for a bit.
You don’t have to hold everything together to keep everyone safe.

Type 9 – Peaceful Mediators
Your wants matter too.
Say them out loud, even if your voice shakes a little.

Before we go any further, take one slow breath.
Notice what today already feels like in your body.
Not what it’s supposed to feel like. Just what’s true.

There is nothing you need to prove today.
Nothing you need to catch up on.
This moment is allowed to be exactly what it is.

💭 Note to Self: What I’m Learning

What I’m learning is how much of a gift this community truly is. I’m grateful for the trust you place in me, for the questions you ask, and for the way you show up even when things feel messy or unclear. You remind me that growth doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful.

Our personality has patterns Terrie Power Coaching … The Moment That Made Me Question Hustle Years ago, I sat in a room listening to someone talk about hustle. Block every minute.Sacrifice more.Push harder. Everyone around me was nodding. I remember my chest tightening. And I had this quiet thought that stuck around longer than I expected. Maybe I just don’t want it badly enough. That thought followed me for years. Because I wanted to be disciplined. I showed up. I cared. I built things...

When stress shifts your momentum Terrie Power Coaching … The part no one notices at first This week almost slipped by without me realizing what was happening. Not because I was busy.Because I was drifting. The stress I’m carrying right now isn’t even business-related. It’s layered. Personal. Quiet. And it changed my momentum in a way that was almost invisible. I didn’t quit anything. I didn’t blow up my plans. I just slowly disconnected from them. That subtle shift is what most people miss....

support changes everything Terrie Power Coaching … I was scrolling this week and landed on a post about someone hiring a trainer. The comments stopped me. Things like, “Why can’t you just be strong enough to do it yourself?”Or, “How sad that you have to pay someone to hold you accountable.” I felt that familiar tightening in my chest. Not because the comments were new.But because I know how easily that voice sneaks into our own heads. This week, as I was trying to put new goals into place, I...
