I lost three hours and couldn’t tell you what I did.

Laptop open. Notes everywhere.
It looked like I was working.

I wasn’t.

I told myself I needed more discipline.

That wasn’t it.

Here’s what I see all the time (in myself too):

When something feels uncomfortable or unclear…
we don’t stop.

We shift.

  • research instead of decide
  • plan instead of act
  • stay busy instead of move forward

It looks productive.

It’s not.

Next time you feel stuck, try this:

Where do I feel pressure?
What am I doing instead?
What am I trying not to feel?
What’s one step I can take anyway?

Just one.
